Rj Prashant's blog on Working on Padlet. How to create the account on Padlet? how to use Padlet?

Padlet- Padlet is a free online tool that is one of the best described online notice board. It can be used by students as well as teachers to post notes or assignments on a common page. Notes posted by teachers, students can contain links, videos, images and document files etc.

Padlet was founded 9 years ago, in 2012 and in then formally known as Wallwisher. Padlet has emphasized the importance of accessibility, intuitiveness, and collaboration in the design of its interface. We can use this tool as an application as well as through its official website.

Creating an Account

As it is a free tool but if we wanna use it, we should have internet connectivity. Without internet connectivity we would not be able to use it. To create an account we should follow the given instructions below –

Firstly Visit the official website of padlet, i.e. - https://www.padlet.com

It would look like this

Now click on “Sign up for free” button, as you click on that button it would redirect to a new page as like shown in the fig.

Choose the medium or option to go ahead from here, i.e. fill your email address and make your password then click on “sign up” button again here, after doing so, a new page will open on the screen like as shown in fig. here-

now you may choose to go ahead with any option but remember if you choose paid version, you will have to pay according to your chosen plan, i.e. monthly or annually. Here I’m going ahead with free version but when we choose to go ahead with this free or basic version we would able to create only 3 Padlet wall and 25MB/upload limit as a single file. Now I’m moving ahead with the Basic version, so after pressing the button of “continue” a welcome window will open in front of you, as shown in fig.

Now press the button of “Let’s go” it would redirect to a new page looks like as shown in fig. here, by the way congrats…!! Your padlet account is now ready to use.

Now you can use all three buttons; i.e. make a padlet, join a padlet and gallery.

When you choose to go ahead with first padlet tab, i. e. make a padlet, a new page will open as shown in fig. then you can select the pattern of your padlet wall.

As I’ve chosen a “wall” by clicking on select button given below there, it will look like as shown in as fig here

you may modify or update your wall, as I’ve changed my address as “kmongroup” but if you don’t want to make any change you may precede further. After completing it all choose to click “Next” button here, as for next step.

After pressing the next button it would give you a look like as shown in fig.

Now the padlet wall is all yours and you are free to post your content here.
To post your things you should just drag the file, double click anywhere on the wall or go ahead with “+ icon”.
With the next step if you want to share your padlet wall with anyone you may proceed with the 3rd tab given in right corner of your wall. When you choose to go ahead with that a new slide will come on your screen from right side as well as right area with many or different sharing option as shown in fig here

here you may invite your students, colleagues or anyone else through different ways; i.e. facebook, email, link, website or blog. Alternatively you can use the QR Code to share with students directly.
