World Deaf Day @ School of Education in DHSGSU

 Hi/Hello/Namaskar/Shastriyàakal/Pranam...🙏🙏🙏

                                                         Prashant 🎙️🎧है, बंदे का नाम...ꦾ⬟

As you know, I am here in Sagar nowadays. On 27/09/2024, I attended a special program organized by the ENT department in the boundary of the Education Department on account of World Deaf Day. Yes, here you may be right on your own side, i.e., we celebrate it on the last SUNDAY of September every year; then how did we celebrate it on the last Friday of this September? Hmmm..., I knew one of you would ask this question here. By the way, I am answering you, don't worry; As there is a Holyday every Sunday in all central institutions that was the main reason, the personnel of the ENT Department and the Education Department have taken the decision to celebrate it in the last working day of same week in September. There were a lot of doctors with two different categories, one was doctors by practice and the other was doctors by prerequisite.

The interesting fact was at there, everyone was focusing on delivering a good societal message related to health and awareness. some students from the ENT department played their vibrant roles through a corner play that was beautifully organized in sequential order with their respective characters. The program was initiated when people came from the ENT department to the education department. The professors of both the departments, i.e. ENT and Education, gathered/ assembled in the office of the head of the department in the school education department after a formal welcome by the dean/head, i.e., Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. The first step of this event was related to lamp lighting and the event introduction after the lamp lighting Dr. Rashmi Jain gave the introductory welcome to everyone for the same. In this sequence, the organizing committee of the education department, including Dr. Rashmi Jain (Convener), Dr. Naveen Singh (Co-convener), and Dr. Aparna Srivastava (Member Secretary), conveyed a gentle request to be assembled in the open space of education department. In the open space of the education department, the medical intern of the medical college Sagar took their place in a circle then they started their play and successfully delivered the message related to health awareness.

In the respective play, the medical interns tried to convey the message of being safe from all the possibilities that can cause problems in listening as well as the reason for being a deaf person in society. They have also tried to cover the maximum problems of our daily life caused just by not getting things as they are in their real sense.
A part of this play, i.e., making people happy in real means, having a strong connection with the main theme of the act related to a localised accent of not getting things just because of improper functions of our auditory system. An intern made it immense with his performance in which he said continuously (i.e., AAIIIEEENN.../ ऐं... ऐं...) on/in the reply of every statement delivered by another person in the act. Lastly in this act, they concluded all the things for the same in a sweet and simple manner.

At this event, more than a hundred people were there including professors research scholars, students, and UG students of all semesters with non-teaching staff of the education department. As per the official records, there were strengths of 92 people exactly except the respective professors, participants, as well as medical interns. Mr. Ambuj Yadav and Prashant Kumar Dwivedi have taken responsibility for maintaining the record of presence at there in that event. One more thing has been observed scholars and the students of all the programs prepared the health awareness slogans at the last moment of the information. After completing the play by medical interns dean/head of the school of education appreciated all the interns for their performances. Everyone has taken part in a photo session. Lastly, a little treat for all the interns was being offered by the event convenor in the presence of Dr. Rani Dubey.
